Security Systems Administrators are responsible for the overall day-to-day administration of security systems, security related tickets, and working with other teams as a security subject matter expert. In addition to day-to-day activities Security Systems Administrators are also responsible for maintaining and progressing the company s security infrastructure and practices to while keeping supporting systems available and secured.
Security Systems Administrators must have a strong discipline in both Windows and Linux based operating systems, network devices, and HA infrastructure administration in an enterprise environment. Their work is both proactive and reactive with strong emphasis on iteratively developing controls and processes to become more proactive. Customer interaction and good interpersonal skills are essential. In most cases, the Security Systems Administrator will be the operational subject matter experts regarding our security offerings and will be a core participant in security related escalated events. They must have a good understanding of compliance standards such as PCI-DSS, SOC2, & HIPPA and how they relate to security.
Security Systems Administrators will occasionally be required to do some programming and scripting and will regularly take part in various operations oriented improvement or enhancement projects. Security Systems Administrators are responsible for creating and executing work plans for escalated events, ensuring that issues are resolved as quickly as possible. They are responsible for identifying trends and chronic problems relating to the security of the environment, and establishing plans for resolution of these issues. All changes being made must be done within established change control processes.
Security Systems Administrators are also involved in the customer implementation of security devices and will take part in any customer meetings relating to their implementation. In addition, Security Systems Administrators will be asked to provide Sales & Sales Engineering with pre-sales assistance and research as well as handle escalated technical issues from Operations & Support.

Deployment, Administration and Maintenance of Security Infrastructure in High Availably configurations
Handle Escalated customer facing issues relating to Security
Provide assistance and guidance to Security Analysts and other Departments as Security Subject Matter Expert
Take part in Operational & Strategic Projects
Integration of Systems and Infrastructure
Compromise and Malware Analysis, Remediation and Prevention
Perform post compromise forensic investigation
Knowledge of Pentesting and Vulnerability Analysis
Vulnerability and Risk evaluation and guidance
Event & Security Log Review and Incident Response/Investigation
Keep up to date with current industry trends and vulnerabilities
Identify, Evaluate and Mitigate security vulnerabilities
Work any Security oriented tickets, events, and incidents to resolution, interacting with customer and other departments as warranted.
Deployment package hardening
On Call rotation for relevant system issues and escalated events
Customer on boarding and Subject Matter Expert for sales team
Work with Architecture team to design and implement security infrastructure
Identify gaps and potential enhancements to security infrastructure to ensure systems are being improved in an iterative manner
Design and deliver metrics surrounding security systems
Work with automation systems to enhance infrastructure management
Troubleshoot OS and Infrastructure level issues and device Tuning
Create procedures, policy, and knowledge base documentation
Possess in depth knowledge of all aspects of information security
Work directly with Compliance team as technical contact on audits
Must deliver an exceptional customer experience every day
Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications/Required Skills:
Minimum 5 years experience in IT/IS security discipline
Minimum 5 years experience in aforementioned technologies
Minimum 3 years experience with PCI-DSS compliance
Must have strong functional knowledge of both Windows & Linux based operating systems, network infrastructure, and HA environments
Ability to learn and communicate technical information
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
Must possess strong interpersonal skills in order to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Must emulate the Hosting Values in all that they do.
Experience with open source security solutions is a plus

High School diploma or equivalent work experience
Bachelor Degree in Information Security or Similar field; equivalent work experience acceptable.
Certification in one of the following, or similar, preferred: CISSP, SSCP, CEH, OSCP, GSEC, CSSLP, GISP
