Position Overview

SS Nesbitt, a major risk management firm in the Southeast and division of EBSCO Industries, has an opening for a Select Business Unit in Commercial Lines., Birmingham office.

Core Purpose: Act as a contact and service manager for client accounts. Process applications for, changes to, and cancellation of insurance policies. Work with clients, producers, insurance companies, and other team members to assure all account needs are met.

Responsibilities:



*

Work with various insurance industry personnel to revise coverage, renew and create insurance policies.
*

Review insurance applications, renewal requests, and endorsements to ensure compliance with underwriting authority and guidelines.
*

Issue and process various insurance documents, such as Certificates of Insurance, Evidence of Property Coverage, billing certificates, renewals, etc.
*

Provide administrative and operational support to existing accounts and clients. This may involve answering questions, furnishing supporting documentation, interpreting and communicating policy coverage, etc. Provide customer service and assistance to clients and customers to satisfactorily resolve any account issues.
*

May perform cross-functional tasks such as securing new business or obtaining insurance quotes.

Skills

Required Qualifications:

*

High school degree or equivalent
*

3 or more year s account management experience in Property and Casualty insurance industry
*

Current Property and Casualty agents license in the state of Alabama

Preferred Qualifications:

*

Actively seeking CIC, CISR and/or CPCU/CLU designations
*

Experience using agency management systems (Vertafore Agency Platform/AMS360/WorkSmart)
