This position is accountable for planning, directing, coordination and control of an efficient and economical basis of all Divisional financial reporting. Works closely with the Controller directing the Divisions accounting practices, the maintenance of Division fiscal record, and the preparation of its financial reports.

*

Responsible for the day to day supervision or the accounting department including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and payroll.
*

Assumes responsibility for the month end close process, insuring deadlines from the corporate office are met and information is accurate.
*

Works closely with the Controller on all financial and accounting matters including, but not limited to carious operating analyses, forecast to actual analysis budget to actual analysis and expedites such to conclusion for best profitability.
*

Cash forecasting and management, insuring prompt collection of receivables, as well as control of all payables to assure optimum cash generation.
*

Responsible for coordination with the internal and external auditors the annual SOX audit and yearend financial statement audit.
*

Administers Division accounting, property accounting, internal auditing, forms control and records retention programs.
*

Exercises staff supervision over timekeeping/payroll and accounts payable/receivable.
*

Assumes responsibility for maintain internal control over financial reporting and insures corporate policies are adhered to.
*

Consolidates Division capital assets, maintenance and operating budgets, checks appropriation requests against approved budgets for availability of funds prior to commitment; and exercises accounting control to insure that budgeted expenditures do not exceed amounts authorized.
*

Exercises supervision over the maintenance of the Division chart of accounts; assigns new classification and cost stations as may be necessary.
*

Works closely with the Controller evaluating the new acquisition of accounting systems and helps make staffing and procedural changes to fully integrate new companies into Kaydon acceptable accounting methods.
*

Assumes responsibility for the correct and accurate accounting classification of Division expenditures and documents, including capital and others and in a timely and accurate manner, provides management with information vital to the decision-making process.
*

Acts as a Division contact with the parent organization s independent auditors on accounting matters.
*

Directs the preparation of Division statistics for periodic and yearly financial statements.
*

Works closely with the Controller to development of methods and procedures necessary to insure adequate financial control within each of the counting operational functions.
*

Responsible for the daily application of cash to customer accounts receivable.
*

Assumes responsibility for collection of cash from customer accounts.
*

Reconciles cash posted to customer accounts with cash received by the corporations bank accounts.
*

Participates in the managing of the annual physical inventory
*

Prepares accounts receivable backup schedules for the SOX audit and yearend financial statement audit.
*

Assumes responsibility for maintaining internal control over financial reporting and insures corporate policies are adhered to.

* Manage month end closing process and the preparation of financial statements including review, interpretation, and analysis of financial results.

* Oversee accounts receivable and serve as credit manager, evaluating credit worthiness of customers and assigning appropriate credit limits.

* Prepare annual budget, establish labor and overhead rates, and standard cost. Monthly and quarterly, forecasting of revenue, expenses, and profitability.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

*

Bachelors Degree in Accounting ( working towards CPA preferred or have a Masters degree).
*

Must have ten (10) or more years experience in preparatory accounting and supervisory positions.
*

Substantial knowledge in advanced accounting and GAAP reporting, business law, taxes and electronic data processing. Demonstrative abilities to plan, coordinate, delegate and integrate.
*

Position requires independent actions, a high level of communications skills (oral and written), integrity, steadfastness and critical thinking abilities.
