Job Description
Position Responsibilities:
Provide accounting control for NY metro region branch
Provide G/L maintenance and sub-ledger control under both a US and Japanese GAAP environment
Perform month-end, quarter-end and year-end close process
Produce financial packages and management reporting
Maintain Accounting Policies and Procedures
Position Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA and/or MBA preferred
10+ years accounting experience in a financial institution
Foreign banking experience strongly preferred
US GAAP knowledge (FAS 115, 133, 138, 52, 114, 91, 125, 157, etc.)
Knowledge of Japanese GAAP is a plus
Knowledge of G/L and sub-ledger controls
Knowledge of various financial products, including derivatives
Strong accounting systems experience; Oracle G/L experience highly desirable
Strong MS Office proficiency
Strong communication skills; Japanese language skills a plus
