JOB DESCRIPTIONCurrently seeking a Senior Account to work for a nonprofit organization that offers great benefits.
This individual would assist the Chief Financial officer and the Controller by performing accounting functions; prepare financial statements, record daily accounting processes, compile financial information, reconcile reports and financial data.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
General Ledger, Budgeting and Fixed Asset recordkeeping of the organization. Review of A/R and A/P, including all transaction processing associated with monthly financial statement preparation.
Review and track monthly financial reports from vendors.
Train, assist and review internal controls from vendors.
Reconciliations and journal entries.
Respond to inquiries from Parishes, schools and department personnel
Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience, Skills and Abilities
Organized, Person of initiative, requiring little direction
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing at all levels
Ability to communicate regularly with Controller, CFO and leaders
Regard all financial matters with confidentiality and respect

Minimum Bachelor degree in Accounting
3- 5 years experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting programs.
