Seeking an experienced and talented Senior Accountant, with a passion for rolling up his/her sleeves and getting things done, to be part of our fast-paced and dynamic team. The Senior Accountant will report to the Controller. The role of the Senior Accountant is as follows:
?General Ledger Accounting
?Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.
?Prepare general ledger journal entries including daily mortgage banking activity.
?Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
?Assist in the monthly, quarterly and year-end financial close process.
?Fixed asset processing and reporting.
?Prepare audit schedules and analysis and provide support for the financial audits.
?Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures & policies.
?Document and identify opportunities for automation and efficiencies around processes.
?Establish, monitor and enforce internal controls surrounding responsibilities.
?Prepare various schedules and analysis as assigned by manager to ensure the accuracy of financial statements and aid in the understanding of various key expenses
?Must be a team player with excellent organizational, analytical and time-management skills. Individual should be deadline driven and possess ability to motivate and communicate effectively with staff.
?Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.
?Intacct and Concur is a plus

Qualifications
?Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
?4-6 years' experience in Finance / Accounting role in the financial services industry.
?Mortgage Banking experience a plus. - Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ability to work with large datasets.
?Ability to work independently to drive projects to timely completion.
?Highly organized with great attention to detail
?Strong written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills
