Job Description

Company: Caritas Christi Healthcare System
Facility: SHC - Corporate - Westwood at Westwood
Department: Corporate Accounting

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Collects, consolidates, and interprets data system-wide.
Provides support and assistance to complete monthly financial statement consolidation including intercompany reconciliation.
Maintains Hyperion application including month end loads.
Assists in the annual consolidation of the audited financial statements, including coordination of financial data with outside auditors and preparation of draft audit statements and footnotes.
Assists in the integration of new hospital systems.
Provides support by evaluating existing reports for consistency, presentation, and standardization.
Reconciles data across all financial systems. (Medi-tech, Hyperion, Budget Advisor)
Performs annual consolidation and filing of system level UFR.
Completes and files consolidated census reports, POS filings and other miscellaneous filings.
Performs all central Medi-tech maintenance functions including financial application closes and component value maintenance.
Various ad hoc requests, including special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBachelor s degree (B.A.) or equivalent; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MS,MBA,CPA preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents such as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to research accounting pronouncements and familiarity with FASB.
MATHEMATICAL AND COMPUTER SKILLSAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as interest, proportions, and percentages. Ability to build complex models utilizing Microsoft Excel. Ability to work with Microsoft Excel, Word and Access to maximize efficiency.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form. Full-time Day shift Bachelors degree is preferred 3-5 years experience is req
