Job Description

This Weston, Massachusetts-based position reports directly to the Senior Manager of Business Intelligence and Operations within the Commercial Effectiveness and Operations (CE&O) Organization. CE&O supports the commercialization of two marketed Multiple Sclerosis products, AVONEX and TYSABRI.

The position supports U.S. Neurology with key strategic business analytics, with particular emphasis on supporting the field sales team.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Producing weekly, monthly and quarterly market trend reports for field-based and internal customers
- Interfacing with internal IT partners to coordinate monthly data loads
- Ensuring accuracy of reporting through implementing and administering quality control processes
- Supporting the administration of the incentive compensation plan by producing the appropriate reports and contributing to the quality-control process
- Interfacing with third-party data providers to ensure accuracy in reporting
- Working with members of the Business Intelligence and Operations team to automate and improve standard reporting
- Answering field force and internal customer questions on reports
- Assisting in ad-hoc analyses
2-4 years market analysis experience.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience with IMS data sources
- Experience in the biotech / pharmaceutical industry
- Exceptional computer skills including fluency with MS Excel and Visual Basic for Applications
- Very strong attention to detail and process follow-through
- Experience using Business Objects is required; experience programming in Business Objects / SQL and on working with large datasets is a strong plus
- Experience with incentive compensation methods and administration is a plus
- Strong analytic, quantitative abilities and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Team spirit, self-motivated, high-energy and initiative
- Ability to seek out ways to continuously improve the process and content of the reporting and analysis
