Senior Analyst, Strategic

Position Summary:The Senior Analyst identifies and delivers cost savings and/or increased value on all outside goods and services purchased. The Senior Analyst ensures that Supply Management provides timely, quality and customer focused services to internal stakeholders that leverage business partner relationships and corporate buying power.Essential Functions: * Develops and leads the execution of the steps (e.g., baseline development, supply market research, request for invoice information (RFI), request for payment proposal (RFP) development, bid analysis, negotiations, contracting) in the strategic sourcing process in conjunction with Buyers and other internal stakeholders* Assists in the development of the annual sourcing plan* Monitors and measures savings that have been achieved to ensure internal and external compliance* Maintains relationships with potential business partners to ensure that new opportunities are identified quickly* Monitors business partner performance and assists in resolving any issues that arise* Identifies cost savings opportunities that can be achieved through strategic sourcing processes* Mentors Strategic Sourcing Analysts in best practices of Supply Management and strategic sourcing

Job Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:* High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma* Bachelor's Degree preferred; MBA ideal * Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience* Strategic sourcing experience preferred * Regular attendance and punctuality* Organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Fun and Passion* Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance* Pass a ten (10) year background check, pre-employment drug test, and criminal history records check (CHRC)* Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located* When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraftKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and Access* Excellent knowledge of procurement and strategic sourcing principles and methodologies* Advanced analytical skills * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Strong negotiations skills* Ability to think creatively* Exceptional project management skills* Basic financial and legal knowledgeWorking Conditions:Equipment: * Computer and other office equipmentWork Environment: * Normal office environmentPhysical Effort: * Generally not required, or up to 10 pounds occasionally, 0 pounds frequently.
