Senior Applications Engineer

Applications engineer responsibilities include product definition (datasheets and internal design specifications); product and power conversion system architecture development; architecture verification (simulation); product evaluation; customer demonstration board development; customer applications support, collateral development (applications notes, design tools, etc), and interaction with marketing, sales force and customers to define product roadmaps. Independent testing, assembly and troubleshooting of prototype boards in a lab setting is required. Position Requirements A minimum of 6-10 years of experience in power conversion system design or applications support. Proven working knowledge of power conversion system architecture is required, including analog circuit and architecture simulation. Experience in the areas of Control Loop Design, Power Electronics, Basic and Advanced Analog Circuit Design, Semiconductor Device Fundamentals and Power Magnetics is required. Ability to work independently in a lab doing testing, assembly, troubleshooting of boards, required. Experience using PSPICE, Mathcad and VerilogA is a plus. Familiar with Microsoft Office.
