Define and design more customer-friendly future product evaluation hardware (Microprocessor and FPGA based) and software solutions for Analog Devices high speed and precision products. Work across several product lines and teams with Analog Devices to ensure the success of our company-wide web-based tools strategy. Interface with marketing/application engineers, from both business units and product lines, to ensure solutions are driven by market requirements. Design and implement test solutions, which includes designing and manufacturing test fixtures, creating test procedures and developing test software. Providing support at FAE and DFAE Training events. Support infrastructure for System Evaluation Solutions/Demo Platforms for internal customers, demonstrating hardware products to applications engineers so that they can directly support technical questions/issues from external customers as they arise. Write firmware for ARM Cortex based processors utilizing version control software; design PCB schematic, layout and BOM (Bill of Material) through coordination with layout group. Work with global ADI manufacture sites on PCB manufacture, assembly and collaborate with 3rd party contractor when necessary. Maintain and upgrade hardware and firmware for current system demonstration platform.
Qualifications Masters degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, or other relevant technical discipline such as Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or Electrical and Computer Engineering plus one year of experience, gained at any time, involving: designing digital and analog circuits using EDA tools such as Cadence Allegro and Mentor Graphics and verifying system performance in EMC lab; troubleshooting digital and analog circuits using embedded test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, bus analyzers, in-circuit emulators and logic analyzers; programming and debugging microcontrollers in C/C on ARM architectures; communicating with systems via CMOS, LVDS, JESD204B, I2C, SPI, and USB standards or protocols; developing software and utilizing software development practices such as version control (SourceTree), regression testing, and coding standards; designing Xilinx and Altera FPGA (softcore) systems in Verilog HDL; developing test fixtures, testable code in C#, and supporting a test driven architecture using Visual Studio development environment and Microsoft .NET framework; and, delivering internal and external technical presentations for staff such as field application engineers and applications engineers.
