WHAT WE DO:

IRI Corporate Strategy and Development team is responsible for crafting and leading key strategic initiatives across the firm. Working in tandem with IRI s Executive Leadership, we identify opportunities to continue to deliver the maximum value to our clients by serving as a liaison to our core business units, driving product innovation, developing new partnerships, and leading M&A activity.

Responsibilities of a Corporate Strategy Director

* Occupy a highly visible position supporting company strategic initiatives.

* Effectively work cross functionally across the multiple IRI organizations

* Work with all functions and all levels including the CEO

* Lead one or multiple projects that require quantitative and qualitative analysis, problem framing, overall strategy formulation, and informal advisory on key business issues / initiatives ({(} e.g., industry evolution, white space opportunity sizing, business model portfolio analysis / adjustment, new initiative ideation, competitive landscape, market entry, partnership development, M&A)

* Project manage key strategy work-streams, often times in collaboration with Client Solutions, CSM, Analytics, Consulting, Technology, Operations and Finance teams, representing the Corporate Strategy point-of-view and providing and/or managing analytical support as appropriate.

* Focus on traditional Corporate Strategy work ({(} Corporate, Business Unit and Client Strategy) as well as Corporate Development work ({(} M&A, building partnership, and financial / business planning).

* Support communication of strategic priorities across multiple constituencies

* Deliver recommendations in a persuasive and thoughtful manner

* Build consensus and effectively influence mid and senior-level stakeholders from different parts of the organization and cultivate enduring, trusted relationships with IRI s senior leaders.

Candidate requirements:

Exceptional quantitative analysis skills and experience ({(} advanced Excel and PPT)

Ability to break down problems into components ({(} root cause understanding) and managing projects from beginning to end

Exceptional attention to detail, excellent communication skills ({(} verbal, written, listening).

Ability to balance, prioritize and execute multiple tasks simultaneously.

Understands the value of providing/receiving feedback with teammates.

Ability to work collaboratively with both IRI cross-functional teams and/or clients.

Strong, results-oriented work ethic; proven ability to focus on learning, outcomes and high quality work product.

Ability to lead/coach junior team members to execute on the different work-streams in each project

Experience understanding financial statements, capable of performing financial calculations and performing financial modeling

Experience leading cross-functional teams and aligning diverse expectations to achieve challenging goals

Embraces a feedback culture; open to provide and receive timely and direct feedback on a regular basis while retaining a positive attitude and demeanor

Ability to perform with high pressure and short timelines.

Approaches work with a sense of fun; setting positive tone

Mature; ability to deal with confidential situations and information

Two or more years of post-MBA/MA or MS ({(} five or more years of experience without and M/MA or MS) Consumer Packaged Goods ({(} CPG) or retail business experience in a top-tier consulting environment or boutique consulting firm

Undergraduate degree from top tier university required. An MBA or advanced degree is a preferred.
