Job Summary:

The Senior Associate, Program Management is a member of the project team who takes responsibility for managing the activities of a track of work within a program. This will include track planning, risk/issue identification and mitigation, activity tracking, monthly statuses and reporting, and ensuring the quality of deliverable products. The candidate will be expected to provide leadership and direction to the team and act as a liaison with the Project Manager.

Qualified applicants must be detail-oriented, result-driven individuals who work well within team environments and have good interpersonal skills, as well as good client interaction skills.

* Manage client and stakeholder relationships

* Plan and closely manage multiple projects scope, schedule and risks/issues

* Assist in scheduling, note taking, and facilitation for project status checkpoints and briefings

* Lead small projects or tracks of work within a larger project

* Prepare reports and briefs for executive level clients

* Provides project management support to project/program leadership by helping to manage issues, client requests, scope, and re-planning efforts

* Performs analysis for requirements planning, business process reengineering, etc. efforts

* Provide guidance and support government project compliances such as Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA), Certification & Accreditation (C&A), and Enterprise Performance Life Cycle (EPLC)

* Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements

* Work closely with technical project leadership to plan, develop, and deliver system modernization, enhancement, and operations and maintenance capabilities

* Work alongside stakeholders to analyze their internal systems and extract data essential to project success

* Work with all users, including end users, site administrators, and managers to get feedback on current operations and requirements for new features, with little oversight from management

* Supports client meetings and checkpoints

* Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements

* Work closely with technical project leadership to plan, develop, and deliver system modernization, enhancement, and operations and maintenance capabilities

* Own creation of effective and polished communications (emails, presentations and whitepapers) for senior level government leadership

* Create and maintain project status reports and program dashboards

* Develop project business cases and supporting documentation

* Develop and execute strategic communication plans to engage key stakeholders and inform impacted staff on anticipated outcomes of project implementation

* Mentor junior team members

Requirements & Experience Guidelines:

* Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Legal Permanent Resident

* Eligible for U.S. Government Clearance.

* Bachelors degree required

* 3-5 years of industry experience, consulting experience a plus

* 2-3 years project management experience, preferably in a client-service organization

* Experience with Agile methodologies

* Experience working with executive-level clients

* Experience in client-facing situations and scope, cost, and schedule management

* Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to create and deliver clear, powerful and concise presentations/proposals

* Demonstrated ability to work with technical stakeholders

* Demonstrated leadership experience with teams of 3 people

* Ability to plan and manage time and resources, establish priorities and meet goals

* Knowledge of and/or experience in software development and internet industries preferred

* Highly proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project, knowledge of Visio and SharePoint
