Description

The Sr. BI Developer / Analyst will be a key resource to work across our full BI stack to ensure stability, scalability, and the delivery of valuable BI solutions for our business partners. Keys to this position are the ability to excel in identification of problems from a business prospective and mapping and implementing pragmatic BI solutions. The Sr. BI Developer / Analyst must be able to communicate equally with business owners and IT professionals, and must be self-driven to execute the activities necessary to reach the project objectives with little supervision. An excellent blend of analytical, technical and communication skills in a team based environment are essential for this role.

Responsibilities
Works with business analysts and end users from cross functional teams to capture reporting requirements, and translating those to technical designs for enterprise business intelligence implementation.
Performs extensive data analysis including data profiling and data quality analysis.
Design ETL logic and load strategies along with reporting functions.
Design of logical and physical data models.
Development and testing of reporting and ETL solutions across a diverse BI toolset.
BI platform management: Ensure stability and performance of solutions to adhere to SLOs and SLAs.
Understand business problems and proactively offer technical solutions, using traditional and emerging concepts and technologies.
Communicate complex technical concepts in a manner that a business expert can understand.
Provide technical guidance on BI tool rationalizations.
Discover, communicate, and offer mitigations for data quality issues.
Work with Business Analyst to identify current state business process or system inadequacies.
Communicate technical scope, risks, and overall project status to management.
Manage individual work load and work effectively on multiple assignments, activities, or projects in a fast pace changing environment. Understand work priorities by impact to business.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
7+ years experience with SQL and data analysis
5+ years of relevant experience in data warehousing and business intelligence tools
2+ years experience in designing ETL, data models, and reporting presentations
Experience supporting or implementing big data solution or technologies
BI platform management and administration experience
Preferred Toolset Experience: Business Objects, Informatica, Microsoft (SSIS, SSAS)
Desired Toolset Experience: OBIEE, Big Data Toolsets
Well rounded business acumen
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated technical leadership experience

Education
Bachelor s degree in Business, Management, Information Systems or Engineering
