Practice Area Profile

Gensler s Brand Design practice area is a global collaborative team of designers and strategists that engages with a wide variety of clients on projects of all sizes from brand identity
and websites to campus signage systems and immersive brand environments. As Gensler brand designers, we help our clients tell their unique stories effectively via every channel available in today s diverse media landscape. Our approach combines design and architectural expertise with a unique point of view and deep industry knowledge. Your Role
Gensler s New York Brand Design studio currently supports Gensler Boston in brand and environmental graphic business development, design and implementation.

What You Will Do
*Serve as liaison between the Boston office and New York Brand Design studio
*Working with NY, grow the Boston Brand design offering, and in time, will be instrumental in the hiring of a new Boston-based brand design team
*Work with Boston and NY director and design leadership in business development pursuits, including proposal generation and pitch meetings
*Responsibility for the design of a wide variety of brand, branded environment, signage, and wayfinding projects
*Work as a key partner on fast-paced interdisciplinary teams of architects, interior designers, graphic designers, photographers and more that deliver projects ranging from strategic planning
to corporate and retail interiors
*Deliver creative solutions in a diverse range of markets including workplace, education, hospitality, retail, sports, and commercial real estate


Your Qualifications
*Minimum 7-10 years experience in Environmental Graphic Design, Signage, and Wayfinding, with a professional degree in Graphic Design or a related field
*Exceptional design sense, with the ability to integrate messaging, color, imagery, and typography into three-dimensional built environments
*Possess a strong in-depth understanding of materials and fabrication techniques, and the ability to turn design concepts into detailed development and design-intent drawings
*Strong wayfinding planning experience including conducting research, building user profiles, developing wayfinding strategies, and documenting design solutions
*Proficiency drawing in scale and familiarity with architectural construction documents, elevations, plans, and shop drawings
*Excellent communication skills, and experience as the main point of contact for clients, vendors, consultants, and/or internal project teams
*Ability to multitask while remaining efficient, poised, and organized
*Flexibility to work both collaboratively and independently on projects of all scales and types, and to direct and mentor younger staff
*Proficiency in the latest design software including Adobe Creative Suite and CADTools; experience with AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or any website/animation platforms is a bonus
