A position with CHS Physician Compliance that is responsible for the ongoing education and auditing of CHS employed physicians, mid-level providers and other clinical staff of physician practice networks in eastern NC. Responsibilities include auditing of evaluation and management services, preparation of written reports documenting audit findings and recommendations, coordinating compliance educational programs, including ICD-10-CM education, and conducting internal reviews to ensure compliance with internal policies and federalstate regulations, as well as guidelines published by private payers. JOB REQUIREMENTS: -Candidates should have a thorough understanding of ICD-9 and CPTHCPCS coding and a general knowledge of medical billing functions. -Two or four year degree preferred. -Three to five years prior experience in physician coding required. -Previous compliance experience preferred. -Coding certification (CPC, CCS-P, RHIA or RHIT) required. -Local travel required.
