Senior Consolidations Accountant
The Senior Consolidations Accountant reports to the Corporate Controller.
The Senior Consolidations Accountant will manage the consolidation of a large multinational privately owned corporation and provide accurate and timely accounting information for all assigned businesses and activities and contribute to the ongoing improvement, expansion, and automation of the company's accounting procedures and systems.
FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Monthly USGAAP consolidations and Quarterly USGAAP and IFRS consolidations.
Monthly financial close activities including but not limited to journal entry preparation, account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation for multiple companies.
Intercompany accounting, foreign currency exchange, bank reconciliations and fixed asset accounting and variance analysis.
Prepare complex account reconciliations.
Understand and generate general ledger as well as month and quarter end entries.
Interact and partner with various operations departments.
Respond to and resolve all internal and external inquiries in a timely manner.
Special projects as assigned.
Certified Public Accountant required.
A minimum of 10+ years accounting experience including both public accounting and industrial corporate (preferably manufacturing) organizational experience. International experience a plus.
A minimum of 3+ years consolidation accounting utilizing HFM consolidation and reporting system.
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) required, understanding of International Financial Reporting Systems (IFRS) preferred.
Experience in General Ledger, Profit & Loss Analysis and Balance Sheets, Cash Flow Statement prepartion, month-end closing, account reconciliations and variance analysis.
Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
Large ERP system experience required. Capability of demonstrating strong understanding of process flows and internal controls. Procedure writing experience a real plus.
This individual will be an insightful listener who easily builds rapport and establishes credibility quickly.
Superior interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills are required, as is the ability to articulate and clearly present ideas. A team player, comfortable interfacing with all levels of U.S. and international colleagues.
This person must be comfortable working under pressure to meet deadlines in a high energy, entrepreneurial environment marked by change and rapid growth.
He/she will be bright, creative, and results-oriented. This hands-on individual will have a very strong work ethic, high integrity, be self-motivated and highly organized with the capability of managing/supporting multiple concurrent activities involving a highly matrixed organization.
EDUCATION/ PROFESSIONAL CREDENTIALS
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance combined with CPA certification is required.
