Brother International Corporation is hiring a Senior Content Marketing Specialist/Copywriter, to be located in Bridgewater, NJ.
The Senior Content Marketing Specialist/Copywriter is responsible for taking various product category and communications briefs and generating unique, creative, and original content that garners attention and facilitates clear communication with various target markets across print, digital and other marketing media. This includes creating positioning statements, taglines, slogans, body copy, headlines, product naming, press releases, social content and scripts. These creative assets will be utilized in a variety of hard copy and digital marketing communications vehicles that include sales literature, packaging, presentations, e-mails, websites, newsletters, social media, public relations materials and advertising.
Key Indicators of Success:
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Demonstrated experience creating, editing, content development and copywriting supporting SOHO and SMB target industries. Experience and familiarity with hi-technology office products and retail/commercial marketplaces is highly desirable
COMMUNICATION SKILLS Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and exceptional spelling, grammar and proof-reading
CREATIVITY Ability to develop, produce and deliver clear, persuasive, original content that resonates with various target audiences in a unique and differentiating way. Ability to take technical information and translate into conversational story-telling content that engages audiences and compels them to take action. Ability to create content that aligns with customer needs and interests, as well as corporate objectives
BRAND STRATEGY Ability to write within brand & editorial guidelines, messaging and positioning.
VENDOR RELATIONS Ability to work closely with agency partners to architect and implement the overall look and feel of the outbound consumer communications materials and website offerings. Ability to manage multiple projects across multiple vendors/business partners
INTERACTION AND PRESENTATION SKILLS Strong interpersonal skills to create and deliver ideas and concepts in an effective manner to internal business partners and agencies
COMPUTER SKILLS Must be proficient in using Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Proficiency in programs such as InDesign would be desirable
MARKETING BACKGROUND Previous exposure to marketing communications (advertising, PR, digital), channel programming, product development functions and strategic internal/external communications
ORGANIZATION AND MULTI-TASKING ABILITY Able to coordinate multiple projects while meeting demanding deadlines & producing high quality work while maintaining a positive attitude
EDUCATION Candidate should have a BA or BS degree in English, Journalism, Communications or equivalent business experience. Additionally, candidates with experience in marketing, content marketing, writing, literature, communications, and mass media are highly sought
OTHER - Should be a proactive, organized, self-starter, fast learner, able to work independently, possess strong follow-thorough abilities, a team player who works effectively with many partners, willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done and work extended business hours when required
