JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Senior Creative Developer uses creativity and in-depth knowledge of graphics software to create online greetings and other content. The Senior Creative Developer plans the design aesthetics and visual interpretation of product, assuring the content is creative, sendable, error-free, and produced on time.
The Developer accomplishes this through personal efforts with minimal supervision, taking full responsibility for creating pieces that meet the needs of our digital business. This individual is also responsible for performing Quality Control procedures as related to the content they create.
This is an individual contributor role that has a high impact on creative product development, ultimately leading projects or products for collections with design direction.
Executes to plan in regards to product type, caption, style and tone. Produces high-quality complex content within the time allotted for each design and demonstrates the ability to present on assigned content.
Performs content upload and QC testing, including functionality within the content as well as within the web environment.
Applies established quality standards to all concepts, artwork and planning, specifically in regards to: aesthetics, appropriateness to product, and accuracy of timing, and overall quality of product appearance.
Maintains awareness of current market trends within the Social Expressions/Digital content areas
Acts as subject matter experts in graphics software and quickly grasps new software and technologies to recommend efficient solutions and techniques that are best suited to each product.
Maintains awareness of style, market trends, corporate and competitor sites, research information and technology with a continuous mindfulness to potential application to assigned products.
Participates in and contributes to product brainstorms. Supports new product development activities and may be assigned project leadership roles for high impact work
Concepts and demonstrates a thorough understanding of storytelling to proactively seek out involvement and bring forward ideas and means of improving content and / or the user experience.
Trains and mentors junior team members and collaborates with external designers and freelancers as needed
Understands cross-functional roles to effectively collaborate and problem solve to meet deadlines
Exhibits thorough knowledge of resources including where to locate materials, assets, and checklists
1-5 years of previous experience in a creative capacity (i.e. ad agency, graphic design, freelance business).
Expert knowledge in post-production and animation software including After Effects, Photoshop, and Flash.
Experience with 3D, scripting, final cut, traditional art skills, photography, and film is a plus.
Expert creative design and execution skills in variety of traditional and/or current digital media.
Excellent communication skills to regularly collaborate with cross-functional teams.
