Kingfisher Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of operational experience with Linux systems to include architecture, deployment, operational management, and analysis of security information systems. Expertise in tools and techniques designed to maintain state-of-the art network systems. Candidates will be responsible for requirements, documentation, engineering, and support of a government agency's systems. These systems include log collection and analysis, intrusion detection, malware prevention, data loss protection/prevention and other technologies. Interact and team with government and contractor personnel responsible for administering the network and associated systems as well as various software and hardware vendors. This position is eligible for telecommuting up to three days per week. The ideal candidate will at a minimum have an undergraduate degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or similar degree.
Skills and Requirements: Design, implement and support information security systems requiring extensive hands-on Enterprise Linux (Red Hat, CentOS and others) systems engineering experience. Provide a full service capability in management and operations of client Linux systems that includes research, architecting, deployment, configuration, administration, monitoring and documentation. Experience/involvement with development team(s) that delivered software or software-based services (development, QA testing, or security role) Provide management, monitoring and administration for tools including Sourcefire, FireEye, F5, Bro, Fortigate, Elasticsearch, and others Deliver customized and standard solutions for clients meeting policy compliancy requirements Coordinate change management processes for testing and validating systems into production Ability to estimate the work and deliver the project on schedule within strict time and resource constraints Ability to work with project deployment team in a team environment Ability to learn the business and product quickly, and adapt to a dynamic development environment Ability to communicate with the customers to gather and define the requirements precisely
