Job Description

Our Sr. Data Analyst reports directly to the Director of Risk Management and is responsible for collecting requirements on, verifying the accuracy of, and providing analysis and reports on various data sets as needed. Will provide general support to the Risk Management department with minimal supervision. �

Key Areas of Responsibility to include:



-Design, develop, implement and maintain analytical data warehouse
-Analyze and report on data to fulfill business needs
-Manage and document data processes and metrics
-Conduct complex data mining independently and within required timeframes.
-Design, develop and maintain data sets in a manner that is both accurate and highly usable for the end customer(s).
-Develop summary tables using stored procedures, create automated reports, and conduct ad hoc analyses as needed.
-Create and maintain controls around data to insure quality, accuracy and timeliness of information.�
-Provide expertise on data migration, reporting and integrity while adopting a continuous improvement approach.
-Maintain and refine data cleanse business rules, write requirements and liaise with IT.
-Provide training to junior analysts, work with external data vendors, and take other leadership roles as needed

Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the critical tasks listed above satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:




-Knowledge of and ability to use SQL SAS and/or other data management software
-Proven ability to interpret data and provide meaningful insights around the business.
-Capable of defining requirements, gathering and validating information, and developing stored procedures for summary tables
-Demonstrated ability to an analyze data and provide valuable business insights and suggestions.

-Needs to be able to conceptualize database structures and communicate them on paper
-Analyze data analysis requests from management to determine operational problems and define data modeling requirements, validation of content and problem solving parameters.�




-The incumbent must possess strong written, communication, time management, organizational and analytical skills.� They must be self-motivated and results oriented with superior attention to detail.�



Educational Requirements:



-Bachelor�� s degree in technology or quantitative field, with 3 years or more of qualified experience with quantitative and qualitative data analysis; data modeling; report development; SQL and/or SAS programming skills.
