JOB DESCRIPTION

Description

oInterface with customers and marketing engineers to understand applications and contribute to architectural decisions of new products. Leverage existing designs and make significant technical improvements to meet new product specifications. Define digital block specifications with I/O list, block diagrams and timing diagrams. Write RTL code to implement the block description. Perform verification by writing test benches and regression tests to verify block functionality at the sub-block and the top level. Synthesize the design with proper timing constraints and conditions and perform Logical Equivalence Checking. Run structural simulations with post layout timing information and work with digital layout engineer to ensure physical verification. Develop and implement digital calibration techniques for the VCO based Phase Locked Loops. Develop and implement firmware code (for the Tensilica family of embedded processors). Write Verilog Code and utilizing TCL/PERL, C/C and Matlab. Perform laboratory evaluation and debug to verify block performs according to specification and assist product engineers in verification.

Qualifications Masters degree or foreign educational equivalent in Electrical Engineering or other relevant technical discipline plus two years experience, gained at any time, involving: data processing and digital design for high Speed Pipeline ADCs; digital calibration for the VCOs for phase locked loops; designing implementation using Verilog and System Verilog; designing micro-processors based subsystem and bus architectures like ARM AMBA protocol; developing firmware test code using programming languages such as C ; performing simulations using Cadence Incisive environment, and synthesis with RTL compiler; and, writing scripts using TCL/PERL and performing regression tests on design blocks.
