Responsibilities:The Sr. Director, Procurement is responsible for the development and execution of a $3+ billion spend strategy across the entire spectrum of direct and indirect procurement spend categories to achieve business objectives and benefit targets. This position is also responsible for overseeing the development and execution of procurement policies and sourcing strategies including the setting of targets, timelines and resource plans. The Sr. Director, Procurement serves as the primary interface to Business Unit Executives to align procurement activities with BU operating priorities, provides strategic enterprise thought leadership and decision making on spend management and deployment of Procurement resources, and assists the enterprise with the procurement of goods and services at the lowest feasible, cost while maintaining quality and service levels. This position also monitors key suppliers' performance against contractual obligations, scorecards, and key performance indicators. They drive continuous improvement initiatives and problem resolution of issues using Lean Concepts and Six Sigma tools. They also coach and develop personnel to build a world-class team - responsible for motivating, mentoring, and leading staff while optimizing costs, and improving profitability. Qualifications:Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience, MBA preferred
Minimum 10 years experience in related field Other Information:* 10- 15 years experience in related field
* Established professional with broad business experience, strategic partnerships with business units, Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement Policy and Tools Expertise is highly desirable
* CPSM Preferred
* Oracle and Ariba preferred, other ERP and sourcing tools acceptable
* Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Ariba
* Visionary and leader of positive change
* Leads through empowerment and instills sense of responsibility and self discipline in subordinates
* Ability to coordinate multiple parallel sourcing initiatives across different business groups and category teams
* Serves as key spokesperson for the organization on highly significant matters relating to policies, programs, capabilities and long-range goals
* Makes final decisions on administrative or operational issues affecting the Procurement Department
* Effectively influences, collaborates, and partners with business leaders to drive results
* Able to effectively interact with international counterparts accomplishing objectives through influence rather than chain of command
* Develops solutions to complex problems
* Regularly uses ingenuity and innovation to develop solutions that are consistent with organization objectives
* Very strong analytic and negotiation skills
* Superior communications, interpersonal and presentation skills with strong influencing and persuasive abilities
* Expertise in MS Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
* Working knowledge of Oracle ERP systems and online sourcing tools (ideally Ariba)
* Must be capable of leading all aspects of Procurement Strategy
* Drives development of optimal strategies for indirect spend categories
* Deep understanding of Procurement best practices, supply markets, suppliers and products
* Detailed knowledge of the sourcing process including various sourcing strategies
* Advanced understanding of pricing models and contracts terms
* Advanced knowledge of e-sourcing tools
