Senior Director, RandD

We are seeking a senior immunologist who will be leading & managing a team of researchers developing state of the art immunological tools for vaccine research & development. This individual will be responsible for supporting & enhancing the vaccine portfolio by effectively directing their scientific staff in the progression of multiple projects through various preclinical stages of vaccine development. This individual will also lead the identification & development of important immunological biomarkers for evaluation of clinical stage vaccine programs. The individual will be a significant contributor to the management of the vaccine research department & to the development of vaccine RD strategy. This individual will be expected to provide scientific insight & to effectively represent his/her team both inside & outside MedImmune. He/she will be expected to initiate & maintain collaborations with scientists in other therapeutic areas at MedImmune, in the larger Astra Zeneca organization & with the outside scientific community.brbr~BSP
