Position is responsible project management for hotel properties that are transitioning in from other management, changing brand flags, under major renovation or new construction. Position will manage a team of technologists and work with many vendors, owners, asset managers, brand resources and contractors. The ability to liaise with external and internal resources is paramount. As aSenior Director of Hotel Technology - Transitions , essential functions include: Work with disparate teams to transition hotel projects technology in to Interstate Management portfolio. This includes:Network Infrastructure Changes Compliance Requirements Identifying technology opportunities for upgrade, cleanup, updating or disposal. Evaluating guest facing systems for viability. Organize, prepare, monitor, and evaluate work performed by vendors and consultants. Independently plans and carries out the implementation of projects and operational assignments specific to hospitality technology. Runs complex projects/programs from design and development to production, defines resources and schedule for project/program implementation, plans and schedules project deliverables, goals and milestones. Project Pan, Consult, Design and Implement technology systems for new construction projects and major hotel renovations. Including bit not limited to:Property Management Systems (PMS) , Point of Sale (POS), High Speed Internet Access (HSIA), Free to Guest and Pay per View Television Systems, Energy Management Systems. Voice Mail and PBX. Ability to write request for proposals, analyze and assess vendor proposals, and assist with monitoring compliance to contract specifications. Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating industry and project outcomes. Fundamentals Bachelor's Degree in business or technology related discipline or equivalent experience required. 10+ years' experience in technology with an emphasis on project management and implementation. Experience working with technical staff in a heterogeneous network environment with supervisory, budgetary, vendor relations and project driven experience. CHTP Required and PMP preferred. Travel required:As necessary based upon project needs. May require International travel. Up to 60'
