Job Description

The MWH organization is driving the wet infrastructure sector globally, and we are leading the world in results-oriented management, technical engineering, and construction services to create a better world. The wet infrastructure sector we serve encompasses a variety of water-related projects and programs ranging from water supply, treatment and storage to water resources management and coastal restoration, and from design and construction of hydropower and renewable energy facilities to full environmental services.
The candidate should be experienced with electrical systems and design associated with water and wastewater treatment plants and collection and distribution systems. The primary responsibilities for this role will include electrical engineering design including calculations, drawing production involving multiple disciplines with local and remote CAD teams. The candidate will also be responsible for ensuring electrical engineering design quality control with respect to MWH, NEC and Client Standards. The applicant will have to collaborate with other technical professionals on project teams and, the Candidate shall possess strong electrical engineering stills, a PE license in CA noted above, writing and communications skills in the English language and shall work well in a team environment. Eventual relocation to Las Vegas is a potential so a PE in NV is also a strong preference as well as a preference to relocate to Las Vegas.
* Supporting multi-disciplinary teams on electrical engineering projects.
* Working on CAD (Computer-Aided Design and Drafting) to produce final design documents.
* Developing logic diagrams and control schematics for assorted processes.
* Working on lighting and fire alarm system design.
* Technical services also will likely include electrical power systems for generation, transmission and distribution, cabling (cable trays and conduits) and wiring, motor control centers, communications systems, grounding and lightning protection, etc.
* Applicant shall work in a manner to ensure personal safety and that of fellow employees by following company health and safety guidelines and policies.
* Must be able to demonstrate good interpersonal abilities for working in a team environment.
* Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to convey project electrical needs to the project managers and clients and to formulate those needs into comprehensive plans and specifications.
* Must have the ability to work with large municipal client in their offices.
* Ability to produce single line and elementary diagrams for medium and low voltage applications, equipment sizing and conduit layout development is required.
* Strong willingness to be a part of a large global engineering company, and to work with teams in other offices around the world.
B.S. Degree Electrical Engineering
* Six to eight years of experience as a professional
PE license in CA in required
