As part of the Schneider IoT & Digital Transformation / Embedded Control group, we are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our team.

In this role you will be responsible for working closely with other firmware developers, end-to-end solution architects and stakeholders to help define and deliver our IoT Gateway platform. You will be involved in both architecture and development tasks.
RESPONSIBILITIES

* Architect and develop solutions for complex firmware functionality
* In particular, actively contribute to the design and implementation of flexible and versatile IoT Platforms including connectivity to sensors, connectivity to the Cloud, state of the art IoT middleware and edge analytics, leveraging modern technology such as OCF/IoTivity, ZigBee, BLE, THREAD, Microsoft Azure IoTHub, etc.
* Research emerging technologies in the field of the IoT and their application to our solutions.
* Prepare and document Software Requirements, Software Design, and test plans
* Implement, verify, and maintain software throughout all stages of the software lifecycle
* Act as an internal expert and provide technical support to our platforms users

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

* BA or MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (or equivalent)
* 6 years of experience in embedded software development/architecture
* Expert in C/C development, embedded Linux, multi-threading and firmware debugging
* Demonstrated capacity to translate business needs into requirements and software architecture, ability to analyze, compare, and recommend multiple solutions to solve problems
* Ability to quickly learn and master components of complex software systems. Strong experience in integration of open source projects.
* Knowledge or experience of the technologies underlying IoT solutions, such as wireless sensor networks, M2M technologies and emerging interoperability frameworks for the IoT (ideally OCF/IoTivity or AllJoyn)
* Competencies on development tools (git, github, yocto, Cmake) and quality (Continous integration, unit tests, static analysis).
* Knowledge of cyber security constraints and techniques is also a plus.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Self-starter and team player, ability to work independently and drive initiatives
* Ability and motivation to learn and use new technologies
* Knowledge or experience with RTOS (uCOS), VxWorks, Android, arduino, mBed is a plus
