Its operations provide essential information to nearly every segment of the global financial community, creating the tools, analysis and research needed to make informed investment decisions. www.sp-150.com The Lead Grid Application Developer will work closely with Grid engineering/operations team as well as independent project teams to both extend the functionality and operability of the Grid computing platform while adapting it to fit the emerging requirements from existing and new application stakeholders. Extensive experience with distributed computing across a Grid computing network and JAVA/J2EE programming required, (additional grid-suitable scripting and programming languages desired including Perl, MATLAB, etc). Specific experience with the Tibco/Data Synapse suite of Grid software products, v5.1 a plus.

Perform Grid environment-related activities: operations and monitoring, software installation and upgrade, platform changes/maintenance, documentation, HA/DR configuration, global expansion, etc
Identify opportunities within S and P to promote use of the Grid Platform
Provide guidance and support to application teams on Grid development standards and technologies

Qualifications

A minimum of 8+ years of IT experience
Strong experience developing, supporting and implementing Grid-enabled solutions
Prior experience in Gird operational teams is desirable
A minimum of 6+ years experience in Java and/or .NET
Demonstrated expertise in Object Oriented programming skill set
Experience with object-oriented analysis and design, agile development methodologies, and interactive project management
Strong knowledge of development standards and code best-practice
Understanding of structured methods (RUP/OO/UML)
Strong interaction skills with business users and excellent communications (verbal and written)
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organization skills with a desire to work in a team environment
