Adecco's Direct Hire Recruiting team seeks a motivated & outgoing Senior Event Manager with 8-10 years' sales experience with 4+ years' of those in managing a multi-unit or multi-venue staff in addition to sales, customer relations, event planning, account management, or event sales for our client, a large hospitality & entertainment brand with multiple venues in Minneapolis region, MN.

This is a great opportunity to manage & lead a staff of Event Sales Reps in the region, assist with selling venue space & catering to client's needs in the hospitality space. You will need a balance of strong leadership skills, customer service, sales, project management, and online tech support skills. In addition to managing a team, you will be managing a region of a few venues within the Minneapolis territory, and assist in booking client parties of 50-100+ guests. Must be proactive, assertive, and driven to approach prospective clients whom have interest in booking their events at the venues you manage as well as offer support & guidance to your staff. A day in the life of an Senior Event Manager:

*Your primary focus is to support the clients as they book event spaces online and via phone

*You know about every benefit and distinctive properties about the various spaces to showcase to the client

*Phone and email will be your primary communication tool as customers will continuously inquire about the space and how it may accommodate their group

*You will need to quickly respond to every inquiry so as to not lose a potential client

*Coordination skills is imperative for this role as you will collaborate with multiple on-site Event Planners as they show the spaces and ensure the events are organized as the client has requested

*Basic tech skills to describe website navigation while on the phone with a client, or troubleshoot basic errors

What you will need in order to succeed in this role:

*Bachelor?s Degree - ideally in Marketing, Communications, Advertising or Hospitality

*8-10 years of sales experience ; 4+ years of management experience within the restaurant, service, retail or hospitality field

*A record of sales success & team development

*Experience with multi-unit sales or call centers preferred

*Must love being on the phone, interacting with clients in person, negotiating sales contracts, upselling services & making money in a team-environment while having fun!
