OVERVIEW:

This position will act as the financial business partner to the Retail business and Channel organization (Distributor relations) and will be responsible for providing key financial, economic and analytical support. The main focus is to influence and drive Retail and Channel commercial strategy and financial performance through business partnering, analytics, and reporting.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Retail LOB:

Provide financial support to the Retail Line of Business (LOB) including direct participation in Commercial strategy and business decisions. Individual will have ownership of the $800M P&L and financial control of all product profitability within the Retail LOB.

* Evaluate, analyze and report LOB gross margin performance, focusing on key trends and areas of opportunity, including

* Gross Margin Analysis of Change (AOC) drivers (Volume, Price, Mix, Productivity, Inflation, FX and Other)

* Granularity of Product profitability analysis using product AOCs

* Collaborate and build relationships with Global Supply Chain (MTS Portfolio) focusing on their contribution to the product P&Ls and drive cost improvement actions

* Analyze and coordinate financial reviews to LOB management regarding business performance as well recommend and implement action plans for improvement

* Act as lead to coordinate and consolidate LOB quarterly P&L forecast (O&S, GM, SFC, CM), including collaboration with business partners and with GSC

* Collaborate with Pricing organization to implement/enhance controls of customer Special Pricing Agreements (SPA) and Big Box Retail accounts, focusing on key trends and outliers

* Monitor and control Line of Business Support Function Cost (SFC)

Channel Organization:

Provide financial support to the Channel organization, including direct participation in Channel strategy and business decisions.

* Evaluate, analyze and report Distributor & Big Box Retail performance (total and individual distributor level), focusing on key performance trends, including:

* Orders and Ships (Gross Sales, Returns, and Rebates)

* Distributor Profitability & Cost to Serve

* Product and market segment mix impact on gross margin

* Responsibility for $60 M balance sheet account for all Distributor Program Accruals

* Model, evaluate, and recommend adaptations to Premier and other critical distributor programs

* Monitor and communicate strategic distributor conversion performance

* Coordinate financial reviews to Channel senior management regarding business performance as well recommend and implement action plans for improvement

* Monitor and control $17M annual Support Function Cost (SFC)

QUALIFICATIONS / KEY SUCCESS FACTORS:

Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics, 3-7 years related financial experience, with advanced knowledge of financial modeling theory, principles and practices

Strong financial/analytical skills with proven business acumen. Preference for controlling experience in manufacturing environment

Advanced PC skills (emphasis on MS Excel, Power Point, SAP, HFM and SQL) and the ability to adapt to new systems and applications quickly. Possess superior Excel skills including charting and ability to manipulate large volumes of data resulting from various sources into meaningful and dependable managerial information

The right candidate will demonstrate strong ability to work with and influence others not within direct reporting relationship

Effectively communicates with and engages all levels of the organization, verbally and in writing, with the ability to build effective partnerships across teams
