As a Senior Financial Analyst/Finance Manager you will be an integral part of the Field Operations organization providing financial support including forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and financial modeling. You will work with multiple organizations across the company; such as Revenue Operations, Manufacturing, Customer Operations, Corporate FP&A and Accounting, and Product Operations to consolidate and provide insights to the world-wide revenue and gross margin.
The Senior Financial Analyst s role has responsibility for a wide range of financial support and analysis tasks. You will help to ensure that departmental objectives and project deadlines are met. The essential functions of the department include:
Revenue and Gross Margin Forecasting
-Maintain forecast model for WW bookings through revenue and gross margin, and ensure that the models are current and relevant to the changing business needs
-Support Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) initiative by enhancing model to efficiently iterate multiple scenarios during the forecast cycle, and to expand out to multi-quarter and multi-year planning
-Translate bookings to revenue by GEO, product vs. services, deferred vs. non-deferred, etc.
-Interact with GEO finance to draw insights and produce color behind the numbers to key stakeholders
-Work with product operations and pricing team to understand new product offerings, go to market strategies, promotion, and pricing initiatives, and associates impact to revenue/margin metrics
-Partner with revenue accounting to understand the compliance requirement of service revenue recognition, EITF/VSOE, etc. and incorporate them onto the forecast
-Provide variance analysis of bookings/revenue actual vs. forecast, clearly explaining the business/financial reasons for variances, and adjusting the outlook model to reflect the operational adjustments
-Partner with Manufacturing Operations and Services finance to provide analytics and insights on the changes to their COGS and its impact to gross margin
Point of contact on the impact of new offerings and pricing initiatives
-Partner with IT and FP&A to ensure reporting systems and source data are accurate and reconciled
-Educate the extended team on new product offerings and/or pricing initiatives
Support NAU organization
-Serve as the business partner to VP/Sr. Directors, providing financial and business guidance for their initiatives
-Forecast NAU P&L, bookings, revenue, and gross margin. Provide monthly metrics and analysis on the health of the business
-Analyze budget/forecast variance to actual and review with management team
-Work with the operational team to manage and forecast headcount, capital expenditure, and operating expenses
-Lead the month-end close responsibilities including accruals, revenue reconciliation, and variance analysis
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organization skills are required
Ability to present ideas and concepts clearly to peers and Senior Management
Strong financial modeling, spreadsheet, and database skills
Continuous improvement attitude; ability to suggest and implement best practices
Ability to understand the strategic implications of financial analysis and make strong well supported recommendations
Strong sense of urgency including the ability to meet or exceed deadline, set priorities
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Oracle, and Hyperion Planning/Essbase
Education and Experience
A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience with FP&A or business analysis background
Bachelor s degree in Accounting/Finance preferred; MBA or CPA a plus
Working knowledge of US GAAP revenue recognition rules preferred
