The Senior Food Stylist will work in partnership with Meredith editorial and design staff to create high quality food images and video content for multiple platforms. This includes managing schedules and overseeing staff for multiple shoots both in the studio and on locations. This position is responsible for training two junior on-staff culinary specialists in the art of food styling.

The Senior Food Stylist will work in partnership with Meredith editorial and design staff to create high quality food images and video content for multiple platforms. This includes managing schedules and overseeing staff for multiple shoots both in the studio and on locations. This position is responsible for training two junior on-staff culinary specialists in the art of food styling.

Provides food styling for Meredith Brands. Works with Test Kitchen Director to assign food styling projects to Test Kitchen Staff. May direct food styling on multiple sets. Communicates with editors and designers regarding projects style, schedule and special food needs.

Train and mentor on-staff Culinary Specialists in the area of food styling.

Manage Test Kitchen photo studio schedule and oversee the physical and logistical needs of the Kitchen Studio including pantry management and kitchen repairs

Develop recipe ideas for Meredith publications.

III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.
Education:
Bachelor s degree in Food and Nutrition, A.A. in culinary arts or equivalent training and/or experience. Art, design and photography classes helpful.
Experience:
Mimimum 5 years of food styling experience with an emphasis on editorial food styling for print and video production. Supervisory experience helpful.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must possess thorough knowledge of food, cooking techniques and recipe development.
Must be knowledgeable and innately inquisitive about food trends.
Must be creative and have a strong conceptual ability.
Must possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and follow-through.
Ability to juggle multiple projects in a face-paced environment.
Ability to work independently as well as working with others to provide training and direction.
Ability to communicate directions to others.
Ability to perform well and stay organized under pressure.
Proficient computer skills.
