Boston Scientific Information Technology is looking for a Sr. IT Program Manager to manage and deliver on a portfolio of strategic initiatives supporting the Rhythm Management. In this role the individual will manage a portfolio of Large Projects and Programs on key initiatives to enable solutions for the Rhythm Management Division. This individual should be highly motivated with excellent analysis and execution skills. In this position, team work and networking with business partners and cross-functional IT team members is a necessary skill. The individual should enjoy working in a fast pace, high visibility and impact environment.

- Manage a portfolio of project and programs ensuring that each initiative in the portfolio is delivering as planned. Work with each project team to determine status, identify and help mitigate risk.
- Guide, coach, direct, and develop project resources, and if applicable, drive those practices throughout their organization.
- Directly lead the implementation and roll-out of new applications and functionality from intake through implementation
- Create, document and manage project plans, tasks, and deliverables according to GSM (BSC Software Development) and best practices; identifies dependencies and resource requirements.
- Identifies, communicates and management high levels of technical risk
- Manage Contracting, Funding Approval and Project Budgets
- Lead development team (internal and external) to deliver a timely solution is delivered according to the specifications and implementation needs of the business.
- Lead testing and implementation of business applications, including working with vendors and other IS team members to execute project testing and implementation activities.
- Assure quality of business systems through team development and execution of test plans, test case specifications and ensuring proper resolution of issues.
- Work with quality assurance analysts to improve IS quality processes.
- Assure the team resolves issues related to business use of implemented systems or processes by working with systems or process owners and other project teams to find acceptable solutions.
- Responsible for cross functional communication including preparing and presenting IT and business partner governance boards and phase reviews.
- Responsible for accurate and timely entry and reporting of project metrics.
- Build PM Technical capability across Corp IT and mentors other PMs
- Identify areas for process improvement and establishes effective and efficient processes.
- Manage systems development or process improvement projects by applying project management methodology.
- Provide input to functional managers on team and team member performance
- Supports the department's project intake process.

- Bachelor's degree plus 10+ years experience in project management or information/software technology
- Experience in the software development lifecycle and methodologies
- Experience partnering with external vendors and business partners on projects, including working with off-shore and geographically dispersed teams
- Experience in one or more and understanding of:
- Gathering and documentation of requirements
- Test planning, test case development and execution
- Software design, code/configure, build and deploy
- Ability to identify and implement process improvement opportunities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Self-starter with strong, proactive work ethic
- Exceptional organizational & time management skills
- Experience with managing large scale projects
- Experience using Project Management tools Project Management Certification preferred (PMP, IPMA, SCRUM)
- Process improvement certification preferred (Green Belt)
- Ability to travel to meet specific project needs required (less than 10%)
