Senior IT Project Manager (Infrastructure)

font size="2" strong Position Summary /strong br / Reporting to the Manager/Director of Program Management, the Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for the delivery of medium to large projects for Kaplan University at tactical level. The Senior IT Project Manager will determine project deliverables, define budgets and timelines, communicate project statuses, proactively manage issues, and lead project teams in the creation of deliverables. br / br / strong Key Job Responsibilities /strong br / Manage medium to large projects. Communicate project status and timeliness to senior management and business stakeholders. Liaison between IT departments and business stakeholders. Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables. Collaboratively manage relationships between senior business unit leaders and IT staff. Mentoring / knowledge-sharing of project management principles & best practices to junior team members and to other Project Management Organizations within Kaplan. br / br / strong Minimum Qualifications /strong br / Bachelor's Degree (B.A./B.S.) 7-10 years related experience Minimum 8 years experience in project management including 5 years managing medium to high risk projects through a complete project life cycle Experience delivering IT Infrastructure projects PMP certification Required (Senior level experience and work history may be substituted) Successful management in a high growth environment Successful history of managing and mentoring business stakeholders Must be able to work evenings/weekends as necessary Ability to successfully manage multiple large scale IT projects concurrently Ability to learn, analyze, and shape business processes Must have strong budgeting skills, ability to cost out IT projects Proven communication and presentations skills at the executive level Must be involved and maintain strong project management presence among business stakeholders. Must be detailed oriented and have strong analytical skills Must take initiative and facilitate solutions to complex business problems Ability to follow processes, work effectively on a team, and maintain a positive attitude br / br / strong Preferred Qualifications /strong br / Experience in the Education Field Preferred Experience with online Learning Management Systems preferred Scrum Master Certification preferred /font
