* Lead and participate in the development of technical approaches, strategies, and tools.

* Work proactively with a collaborative cross-institute team on technical, business development, strategic planning, and project implementation initiatives.

* Lead and contribute to the development of proposals, concept notes, and expressions of interest for donor-funded programs, in particular with USAID, MCC, DFAT and DfID.

* Author technical articles, papers, reports; and lead presentations, seminars and workshops on key ILEG topics

* Lead the development of tools and resources designed to support and replicate promising field practices.

* Provide technical assistance to project and program portfolios in given technical area.

* Master s Degree in economics, development policy, or related fields with 9 years of relevant work experience, or a PhD in economics, development policy, or related fields and 6 years of relevant experience. RTI will consider candidates with physical sciences, technology, engineering, and/or mathematics (STEM) degrees, provided they have significant demonstrated experience in international development, including field experience abroad.

* Knowledge and experience in research areas and methodologies and technologies in technical area.

* Knowledge and experience supporting USAID and other key donor client projects in international development sector.

* Demonstrated ability to lead development of technical proposals and reports.

* International field experience in developing countries.

* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
