The Sr Lead Account Executive - Colocation is part of the Global Data Center Sales and Alliances organization and is responsible for sales and revenue growth in a geographic territory. Primary function of role is to prospect for new logos across a variety of industry verticals. Sr. Lead Account Executives are expected to use consultative selling skills along with a strong understanding of the data center and technology industries to originate opportunities and achieve quota attainment in the data center/colocation business. AEs also develop highly productive reseller and referral partner relationships so that partners become self-sufficient in marketing and selling our products.

Responsibilities

*Prospecting for data center/colocation opportunities within given territory - specific focus on new logos.

*Management of sales opportunities, providing accurate and updated sales funnel with current status

*Achievement of data center/colocation sales quota

*Identification, development and maintenance of healthy funnel of colocation opportunities

*Development of territory plan, including prospecting efforts and close plans for strategic deals

*Meeting with prospects, partners and other CenturyLink colleagues, participation in joint sales calls to customers to shorten the sales cycle and improve the win ratio

*Coordination of prospect access to Sales Engineering, Field Marketing and overlay resources as appropriate

*Maintaining an up-to-date sales funnel in Salesforce

*Dissemination of all communications and announcements

*Coordination of local prospect participation in events and training

*Driving product and promotions and programs

*Attendance of Shows and conference calls, as designated by management

*Reading of all communications and maintaining a high level of knowledge on all products, programs and promotions

Basic Qualifications:

*MINIMUM OF 8 YEARS DIRECT BUSINESS TO BUSINESS OUTSIDE SALES EXPERIENCE WITHIN A HIGH TECH INDUSTRY CALLING ON MEDIUM-SIZED ACCOUNTS.

*BA/BSDegree or equivalent experience

*MINIMUM OF 2 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE SELLING COLOCATION AND/OR DATA CENTER SOLUTIONS TO BUSINESSES

*Ability to travel regionally

Preferred Qualifications:

*Presentation skills for both small and large groups

*MS Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)

*Strongly prefer experience selling and supporting within an indirect channel or partner based sales program for IT Organizations, Independent Software Vendors, PaaS, IaaS, VAR's , System Integrators and telecommunications agents

*Experience with internal CenturyLink systems
