Senior MEDITECH Programmer

JOB SUMMARY Under the supervision of the IT Director, the programmer/analyst will effectively communicate with and understand the needs of end users in order to plan, design, write, test, troubleshoot, document, and implement software programs and reports. A sense of humor is a must as well as a great team player! QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor s degree in healthcare, computer science or related field. Equivalent experience considered.
Prefer a solid and recent clinical and/or financial background.
4+ years of experience with Meditech NPR Report Writer (MAGIC or C/S). Strong ability to write reports across modules. Ability to pick apart existing reports to fix, modify, enhance, or replicate them.
Demonstrates an understanding of subscripts, indexes, prefixes, macros, multiples, MV arrays, string extraction, & DPM listings.
Understands the relationships between various Meditech modules, and how data is stored in the Meditech HCIS.
Experience with most (if not all) of the following modules: ABS, ADM, AP, BAR, FA, GL, LAB, MIS, MM, MOX, MRI, NMI, NPR, NUR, OE, PCI, PHA, PP, RAD, SCH.
Experience with Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
Ability to prioritize and multitask.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Prefer experience, SQL databases, Boston Workstation, HL7 interfaces.
Experience with Meditech s Data Repository is a plus.* Full Time Salaried
