JOB DESCRIPTION

Description

Responsible for full product verification and silicon evaluation including creating and maintaining environment, and plans for MEMS sensor and integrated circuit systems. Analyze product defects to determine root cause for failure. Design hardware and software platforms for MEMS product evaluation. Generate design verification and evaluation reports. Responsible for creating and maintaining Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis documents. Engage with the MEMS design, process and test development teams to identify and fix performance and yield issues. Engage with applications team to debug critical customer applications. Collaborate with IC design team to engage in problem solving specific design or architectural issues and product specification. Analyze pre-silicon simulation results and post-silicon measurements. Perform design verification and evaluation of silicon for MEMS products. Develop design verification plans which consist of top-level co-simulations used to verify the design at the system level and be the primary executor of the plans. Qualifications Masters degree, or foreign educational equivalent, in Electrical Engineering or other relevant technical discipline with coursework including MEMS sensors, amplifiers, filters, A/D and D/A converters. Two years of experience in high performance inertial MEMS components which includes: running mixed signal co-simulation in SPICE-based simulation environment; creating and executing mixed signal design verification methodology and flow to create verification plans for pre-silicon validation; investigating root cause and analysis of MEMS product performance defects caused due to interaction between inertial MEMS sensor, mixed signal ASIC and fabrication and manufacturing techniques; design of evaluation boards (using knowledge of good layout practices); developing LabVIEW programs for evaluation and characterization; performing statistical analysis of products using data analysis tools; performing circuit evaluation and characterization of MEMS devices using standard laboratory equipment like oscilloscopes, data acquisition systems, and signal analyzers; and, programming in MATLAB to process and analyze data and interpret results.
