This position is the technical and managerial leader for all Maintenance activities for the site, including the Maintenance Execution Teams (work processes, mechanical, instrument, and electrical), the Reliability Teams, and Central Mechanical and I&E services. This position is responsible for executing routine maintenance spending of $60M to $70M per year and Turnaround/Outage spending of $40M to $50M in a safe, efficient, and effective manner. Additionally, this position is responsible for the work and performance of 400 to 500 BASF and Contract employees. This position is also responsible for the strategic, long-term vision on maintenance and reliability performance, maintenance process improvements, establishing reliability focus throughout the site, and ensuring a culture of continuous improvement employing LEAN Manufacturing tools.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Manage the site wide Maintenance Department -Ensure work execution, efficiency, and effectiveness -Lead the development and implementation of the maintenance execution strategy and implement the reliability strategies for each plant on site -Drive the use of LEAN Manufacturing tools to identify waste and ensure continuous improvement -Develop and implement the maintenance and reliability strategies for each plant on site in partnership with Asset Managers -Ensure the application of all safety rules, assuring Maintenance personnel are aware of and employing safe working practices and promoting safety programs and behaviors -Monitor accomplishments, validate, and report performance-to-plan in order to show trends and provide analyses with an emphasis on early performance indicators for the site -Identify continuous improvement opportunities to enhance the overall maintenance work process and improve cost effectiveness and efficiency -Define and deliver the required level of maintenance to the operating units working in conjunction with the Asset Managers -Serve as site representative to Professional Maintenance Organizations, and local councils -Participate in regional and global teams to develop and optimize maintenance execution, reliability, and work processes -Serve as technical and work execution consultant for other sites on maintenance execution, reliability, and work process related topics KEY COMPETENCIES:

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Engineering field and minimum 15+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment and minimum 10+ years of supervisory experience required. Advanced degree preferred. Previous experience leading a plant optimization team is a plus.
