Job Description
Job Advertised by Pharmadiversity Job Board - 1. Review market research, industry trends, study results, competitor profiles, promotional activity levels, messaging, pricing and scientific reviews that relate to Forest's potential expansion into new geographies, markets, therapeutic areas and related businesses. This involves working with the Strategic Planning and New Products groups in order to develop the expertise necessary to drive and implement new deals tied to Forest's existing product portfolio that will have a direct positive impact on the overall Forest P&L. 2. Lead the assessment, development and implementation of transactional opportunities tied to Forest's growth and investment strategies that include working with cross-functional teams on commercial and scientific assessments, building financial forecasts and deal structures/P&Ls, drafting term sheets and negotiating the transactions. Working with the Director, Business Affairs this analysis and presentation should be structured to initiate a discussion and illicit feedback and ultimate endorsement for implementation from Executive Management. 3. Support the development of lifecycle plans for pipeline and marketed products in conjunction with Strategic Planning, Commercial, IP, Clinical Development, Regulatory and Manufacturing teams. Initiate lifecycle discussions and analyses in order to form and implement a strategy for each product that optimizes the product franchise and expands or prolongs the commercial life of the product. Play a direct role in driving transactions around endorsed lifecycle strategies. 4. Manage contracts for some existing partnerships and interact with appropriate external partners as appropriate. Play an active role in negotiating revised or amended contract terms as needed to maximize deal value and partner collaboration. Education: A Bachelor's degree and an MBA are required. An undergraduate degree in biology, chemistry, or pharmacy is a plus. Experience: The ideal candidate will have pharmaceutical/biotech industry work experience in strategic planning, business development or brand management, OR management consulting or investment banking experience with a pharmaceutical focus. The final job title will be commensurate with the candidate's experience.
