The IT Director, ERP role is to plan, coordinate, and supervise all activities related to the design, development, and implementation of organizational information systems, including both software applications and hardware infrastructure. This individual will apply proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of best practices to guide his/her team.


Manage the development and deployment of new applications, systems software, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout the enterprise.

Manage the development and deployment of new Hardware infrastructure, network, and/or enhancements to existing Computer Hardware throughout the enterprise.

Apply established metrics to determine the readiness, quality, and operability of software, hardware, systems, and products due for release to clients and/or within the enterprise.

Review and analyze existing applications' effectiveness and efficiency, and then develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems.

Plan and conduct performance appraisals of MIS staff, administer disciplinary action, raises, bonuses, and promotions when necessary.

Provide technical leadership to project managers and programmers working on development project teams.

Develop cost center budget and monitor spending. Research and make recommendations on software products and services in support of procurement and development efforts.

Ensure that product quality and food safety are standards within the ISIT department insofar as it pertains to their areas of responsibility.



Strong technical knowledge of core software applications, including Ross ERP, Business Objects and EDI.

Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions.

Direct, hands-on experience with automated software and system management tools.

Strong knowledge of system and softwarequality assurance best practices and methodologies.

Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures, project lifecycle models, etc.

Knowledge of network hardware, protocols, and standards, including ROSS ERP.

Bachelor's degreerequired.

Experience in a multi-stage manufacturing environment.

ROSS ERP; Other ERP implementation background (e.g. Great Plains, JD Edwards, Microsoft NAV)
