Sr. Manager, Finance
The Senior Manager will be part of the Strategic Finance team within the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) group of T-Mobile USA. This person will work closely with members of the group, corporate executive staff, and internal strategy & development groups to define overall impacts of major T-Mobile initiatives and investments on the valuation of T-Mobile USA.
As stewards of the company's valuation and liaison with our corporate owner, Deutsche Telekom, Strategic Finance is involved in evaluating major initiatives involving investments in network, technology, distribution, M&A, etc. as well as responsibility for valuing major intangible assets like spectrum and goodwill. In addition, the Strategic Finance group monitors industry economic drivers of the mobile ecosystem, gathers competitive financial intelligence and applies strategic frameworks.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
* Lead people and processes regarding large strategic investments
* Work closely with peer organization to understand key business issues and translate them into financial models and metrics
* Develop an understanding of industry, corporate, and customer drivers to leverage in company valuation.
* Actively select and apply advanced financial theory, strategic frameworks and decision theory to perform analysis and develop comprehensive financial models.
* Influence and guide executive decision-making through logical presentation, argumentation and defense in order to optimize company value and risk-return profile.
* Provide coaching to all levels of the organization.
* Provide quality assurance and control on financial analysis.
* Help guide FP&A team development and alignment by enabling best practices.
