JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE: SENIOR MANAGER, INDIRECT SOURCING ANALYTICS
PURPOSE
The Senior Manager of Indirect Sourcing Analytics will be a direct report of the Global Director of Indirect Sourcing. This critical role will be responsible for creating and managing analytics to optimize over $2B in Indirect Spend. This Manager will direct a team of analysts in analyzing spend, sourcing influence, pricing, contracts, market trends and other data to support the Indirect Sourcing Organization. This Manager will provide analysis to enable Global Category Managers and Regional Sourcing Teams to make well grounded, data driven business decisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive and direct analysis to support optimization of $2B of Global Indirect Spend
- Manage and deliver on all periodic analytical reports in support of Indirect Sourcing.
- Identify ongoing opportunities and approaches for streamlining analytical processes.
- Coordinate process improvements through the use of Lean/Six Sigma.
- Perform or direct complex analytical tasks such as market analysis, cost modeling, financial risk, and forecasting
- Support and direct the analysis needed to drive Category Sourcing Plans
- Create Analysis to help the organization utilize both pricing and volume levers of cost reduction
- Drive utilization and enhancements around spend analysis and contract management systems
- Support and direct team of analysts in utilizing category and sourcing metrics to drive enhance value and awareness
- Utilize software and other automation to enhance analytical performance to drive consistency and speed of analytics
- Help create and direct benchmarking analysis to drive enhance sourcing performance
- Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports BSC's Quality Policy, Quality System and the appropriate regulations for the area they support. Ensure all employees are trained to do their work and their training is documented.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have an undergraduate degree in a related field. An advanced degree (MBA, MS in Supply Chain) or professional certification (e.g., C.P.M., F.M.P. or C.F.M.) is desired.
- Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in Sourcing Analytics.
- Must have experience analyzing complex RFPs, spend data, contracts, pricing as well as able to direct a team of analysts to perform this work.
- A background in medical devices, biotech, pharmaceutical or similar would be a benefit, but not required.
- Experience leading people, managing people, and managing projects
- Must have exceptional analytical, business and leadership skills.
- (S)He must have a thirst for all things analytics and be capable of building relationships.
- (S)He must have the wisdom to effectively influence others at all levels within the organization and outside of it to attain the most beneficial result.
- The candidate must be a natural leader who is comfortable providing direction to people who do and do not report to themselves.
- Possess an awareness of the sourcing, contracting and negotiation process.
- Must know how to organize data to tell a story to management.
- This position will require that the individual be proficient at building business cases and presenting these cases to senior management.
- They will also need well-honed skills in influencing others, building consensus, and implementing change management programs.
- The position will involve some travel. (5-10%)
