JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB OVERVIEW:

This is a senior software developer position within the Corporate Application Development organization. This position is responsible for the full lifecycle of an existing customer-facing web application built around the .NET platform, including but not limited to: requirements gathering and analysis, design, development, implementation, and production support. This individual must be capable of collaborating with leadership to define the platform strategy and roadmap, and must be able to execute against these plans. The ideal candidate has a strong bias for action, is motivated by a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, and is skilled at anticipating problems, creating contingency plans, and solving problems. This individual must be an expert in their technology domain. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain and support the existing .NET application codebase
*

Develop new code to expand application functionality per customer requirements
*

Coordinate and respond to requests for changes from current application specifications
*

Contribute on the application strategy and technology roadmap
*

Establish and maintain effective user relations, confidence and service levels
*

Develop and maintain an understanding of the user business operating environment, and provide consultation with users on appropriate deployment of the software solution
*

Develop contingency and disaster recovery plans
*

Provide high-quality post-production support to ensure client/customer service expectations are met
*

Apply extensive knowledge of .NET platforms and related programming languages and industry best practices
*

Participate in writing systems documents, including design documents, specifications, and user guides
*

Provide mentoring and guidance for junior team members or contractworkers augmenting the team
*

Act as an advocate for the software platform to expand its internal client base
Provide recommendations to leadership to ensure the software solution stays current with respect to the underlying .NET platform and evolving industry trends

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

8+ years of hands-on software development experience in the Microsoft development stack
*

Knowledge and practical experience with the following technologies:
