Senior Operations Manager - 3PL - Oxford North Carolina 80 to 95K Bonus Our client is looking for a Senior Operations Manager who will be responsible for the successful operation of the ecommerce fulfillment distribution centre. You will be responsible for working with the warehousing staff to meet company targets, operating costs and service agreements. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the distribution center, including receiving, quality control, putaway, storage and inventory accuracy, picking, packing, shipping, systems, maintenance, health and safety and customer service. You will monitor KPI's and implement process improvements and cost savings throughout the DC including, warehousing operations, Customer Service and Client Relationship. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for the success of the operation ensuring adherence to business plans, service level agreements and budgets. Anticipate the warehouse operational needs and act accordingly to ensure all objectives are met. Ensure inventory accuracy through solid processes, cycle counts, annual inventory count and review of over/short reports. Investigate operational errors to determine the cause, recommend and implement corrective action where needed. Ability to ensure facility compliance in all aspects of health and safety including government, industry and company rules and regulations. Maintains safety, housekeeping and maintenance standards. Resolves employee issues and works cooperatively with Human Resources to maintain an open door culture throughout the facility. Build a positive team spirit; create an environment that is productive, friendly, and exciting. Owns the successful use of Red Prairie (WMS) by understanding functionality and capability. Sets up internal controls, system SOP and extensive team training. Accountable and responsible for the success of the Warehouse operation through efficient and innovative processes and procedures. Complete and submit reports on warehouse status and effectiveness as required. Leads and motivate the team to ensure the highest level of service is provided at all times. Manages workflow to meet planned units per hour, cost per unit, level of service and accuracy standards. Works with customers to resolve problems and ensure efficient service. Administers policies and procedures within assigned areas. Effectively manages payroll and expenses. Manages key performance indicators and other related measurements; providing analysis, reporting and recommendations on a timely basis. Reviews forecasts, inventory reports, sales order reports, and other available material and devises plans to meet fluctuations in warehousing operation. Acts as a liaison and keeps VP of Operations informed on matters of policy procedure and production performance/problems. Provides leadership to facility staff by Hiring, training, developing and scheduling competent staff oArticulating the goals of the facility including but not limited to health and safety, productivity, housekeeping oProviding opportunity for success oProviding feedback and measurement of success Manages ongoing relationships and interactions with: customer, vendors and carriers working to assure adherence to contractual agreements. Will ensure that employees are trained as necessary. This includes cross-training to ensure efficient skill levels, soft skills training and certification in accordance with the companies guidelines and government regulations.
