Job Description

The Bascom Palmer Eye Institute has an opportunity for a Senior Ophthalmic Photographer within our Medical Campus. Responsible but not limited to performing all facets of Ophthalmic Photography to include, Fundus Photography, Flourescein /ICG Angiography, Slit lamp and External Photography and OCT. This position consists of daily photographic care and management of all Bascom Palmer Eye Institute patients, participating in National Funded Clinical Trial Studies, assisting with junior photographer training, and maintaining all digital equipment and image storage by transferring and archiving all imagery. Further facades of the job including providing assistance with Junior Photographer training, OR Photography, and actively participating / assisting in research projects related to Ophthalmic Photography.
The minimum qualifications for this position are as follows: Bachelor's Degree plus three years experience within the field of Ophthalmic Photography are required. Certified Retinal Angiographer (CRA) preferred: pending or achieved. Must present the ability to work with pediatric/geriatric patients, as well as extensive knowledge of Fundus Photography, Flourescein Angiography, as well as knowledge and theory of Fundus cameras. Ophthalmic Photography portfolio desired. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications will be considered.
