Senior Petrophysicist

Seneca Resources Corporation, the oil & gas exploration and production subsidiary of National Fuel Gas Company (NYSE: NFG), is currently seeking a Sr. Petrophysicist at its East Division office in Pittsburgh, PA.

The Sr. Petrophysicist will serve as an integral member of the Exploration team with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:

• Performing petrophysical studies to improve understanding of shale resource potential and reservoir characterization
• Participating in multi-discipline teams to develop integrated geologic, geophysical and reservoir models
• Planning and monitoring all aspects of coring and well logging program including bidding, quality control and interpretation
• Coordinating with partnering companies regarding petrophysical data collection
• Providing geologic support for other departments to help achieve Division goals

This position requires 5 to 10 years of experience, along with a Masters or Doctorate degree in Physics or Geoscience. The ideal candidate will have shale development experience. Candidates must work well in a team environment.
