Senior Planner Outsourced Packaging

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The incumbent has overall responsibility for coordination and follow up with Cameron Departments and Outsource Packagers to insure the timely availability of all component parts, materials, engineering documentation and information including engineering documents, BOMs, drawings, etc. in support of on time build and shipment of compressor packages to customers.

In this capacity, the incumbent will work with Cameron personnel as required from many functions including Project Management, Engineering, Manufacturing operations, Purchasing, Stores, Traffic, Finance, Master Planning, Contract Planning and Production Floor Planning.

The Senior Planner, Outsource Packaging is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and information integrity of the SAP business system relative to the status of outsourced compressor packages.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. The incumbent is responsible for follow up with Cameron Engineering and Project Management to provide drawings, BOMs and other supporting documentation required by Packagers to support production and shipment schedules.

2. Continuously reviews and monitors the status of materials and component parts required for compressor air end builds that will ultimately be shipped outside for packaging. The incumbent is responsible to follow up as needed with cross functional Cameron personnel to insure the timely availability of parts and materials required to support on time schedules.

3. Responsible for planning and coordinating the shipment of compressor air ends, component parts and materials to Packagers. This includes developing `deliveries and any other documentation or transactions required in support shipment schedules.

4. Assists Quality Engineers, Project Managers and other company personnel in the resolution of QNCRs pertaining to product required for Outsource packagers. This includes replacement, and/or repair of discrepant (QNCR) material including removal of QNCR materials from Production and movement to designated areas.

5. Responsible for coordinating completion and transmission of required business system (SAP) transactions insuring accuracy and business system integrity.

6. Attends weekly production meetings to receive information regarding the status of compressor air ends and other deliverables relating to outsource projects.

7. Coordinates engineering changes, customer changes, or any other changes related to floor documentation that could potentially impact compressor air ends that will ultimately shipped to Packagers.

8. As needed, assists in updating the (SAP) business system with WIP transactions, material issues, MO receipts and other associated transactions.

9. Performs additional tasks as requested by supervision.

BA or BS Degree in Business or Industrial/Mechanical Engineering is preferred. Associates Degree with five (5) years relevant planning experience in a highly engineered make to order business is acceptable. APICS certification is desirable. Strong computer background and, experience in an SAP operating environment are required. A minimum of 2 years of Planner experience in a highly engineered make to order business are essential.

Strong Planning, interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
