Job Description

Calvin Klein Jeans, a division of Warnaco Inc., has an exciting opportunity for a talented Senior Product Manager Knits & Sweaters to join our team. Since the introduction of the original Calvin Klein jean in 1978, Calvin Klein Jeans has been positioned as an authentic designer jeans brand known for innovative fit and unique details and denim treatments. The Senior Product Manager Knits & Sweaters is responsible for leading and managing the production process beginning with product development activities associated with Calvin Klein Jeans' product line through on time delivery of finished product into the Distribution center. Works with mills, factories and Agents in order to present new product ideas to the design team, that fulfill customer and brand requirements. Coordinate and manage the production activities with overseas offices and factories.

In addition, your primary responsibilites will include:
*Manage development and production activities from R&D, sampling, costing, and tracking against company calendars. Responsible for management of time and action calendars to ensure timely completion of prototypes, sample line and bulk production.
*Present new ideas (seasonally) for Design and Merchandising consideration. Gather new ideas from external partners and suppliers in timely fashion and within company calendar.
*Maintain sample, costing and production tracking reports for communication throughout Product, Design and Merchandising and planning teams.
*Work with Design and Merchandising to ensure schedule adherence for lab dips, shade bands, wash and fit approvals.
*Partners with Technical Design for on-time calendar results.
*Negotiates costing using detailed technical knowledge and understanding of factory cost breakdown.
*Direct responsibility for seasonal factory allocation, factory and capacity planning that is consistent with Global Sourcing Strategy. Contributes to the development of the Global sourcing
strategy.
*Mitigate and report business risk when issues or potential delays occur

The ideal candidate will also possess:

Minimum of six years of progressive experience with strong focus on knits and Sweaters
Minimum of three years in a management role
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Strong organization and attention to detail skills
Competent computer skills in Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Office
Exhibit teamwork, collaboration, and sense of urgency
4 year degree
