This position aligns both daily and strategic teams and is responsible for improving resource management, technology innovation, EHS performance, profitability and building employee capabilities. Responsible for leadership and development of employees in an organization with fewer than 60 direct and indirect reports.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Establish strategic goals, objectives, and operational budgets for the Production Team to ensure continuous improvement -Provide direction and resolution for budget changes (both Production accounts and Maintenance accounts) -Responsible for identification and implementation of work process changes, knowledge transfer requirements, and methods to enable transitions required to support the organization implementation/transition. -Accountable for ensuring compliance with EHS requirements -Ensures completion of Management review and other periodic reviews of compliance programs -Provide resources for implementation of LEAN Manufacturing tools and role model LEAN behaviors -Interface with Global Production and Business Units -Establish an environment that fosters customer support -Support Knowledge Management -Serves as gatekeeper for plant modifications including management of change (MOC) -Coach and develop personnel (salaried and hourly) into high performance teams that exemplify the culture and behaviors required by BASF -Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and selection of employees -Prepare and implement succession plans -Identify training needs of Production Team and leverage the Learning and Development Coordinator role to provide necessary training opportunities -Identify and remove barriers to the success of the Production Team KEY COMPETENCIES:

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Engineering field with minimum 12+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment and minimum 5+ years of supervisory/leadership experience required. Advanced degree preferred. Previous experience leading a plant optimization team is a plus.
